Our Graduates are responsible for contributing to the overall design and delivery of Energy

Transition solutions, including feasibility, conceptual and FEED design with leading projects in the UK and contribute to our wider global portfolio of projects and customers. You will work both as part of a team and at times independently, working on multiple projects concurrently. Our work will help clients to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, though researching and implementing the latest technologies including industrial decarbonisation, Power 2 X, Bio 2 X, CCUS, Solar and PV, of heat, traditional thermal power systems and Offshore Substations. This role is based in the industrial decarbonisation team which helps industrial clients in decarbonising their operations. The projects we work on involve solutions such as adopting to more efficient technologies, fuel switching to green fuels, electrification, renewable energy generation etc.

As a Graduate, you will work with our Energy Transition division of over 40 engineers and consultants in the UK ET Team and 600 colleagues across our global geographies, covering differing disciplines. You will work in our project teams that can be anywhere as large as 50 persons and as small as 2 persons. Your willingness to learn new engineering concepts and pick up new technology quickly is important. We want enthusiasm to help our clients transition away from fossil fuels and to Close The Gap.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Apply the engineering concepts and help in developing the decarbonisation solutions for industrial clients

  • Carry out engineering calculations and computational analysis.

  • Communicate complex engineering principals in plain English through writing, verbally, drawings, sketches.

  • Use engineering software including AutoCAD and computational software such as EnergyPro, 1. Describe how can a typical food and drinks company make Energy Transition to decarbonise its operation over the next 5 - 10 years (250 word maximum)

  • 2. Describe the technologies involved (250 word maximum)
    3. Outline your implementation plan of how best we can achieve global 2030 - 2050 goals, with key milestones. (250 word maximum)
    4. Describe the non-technology issues including policy and regulatory that we will need to overcome, and ideas on how to solve them. (250 word maximum)

  • BEng, MEng or MSc level degree in a relevant energy or engineering subject

  • Design and problem-solving skills to allow you to create engineering solutions

  • Numeracy to all you to carry out engineering calculations

  • Communication skills to allow you to communicate complex engineering principals

  • Knowledge of heat decarbonisation and renewable energy technologies
