Full Job Description

  • Creating CAD drawings based on project specifications and customer requirements


  • Providing technical details


  • Assisting in producing product manufacturing and assembly procedures.


  • Utilising in-house software and quoting tools effectively


  • Assisting in defining project schedules


  • Producing 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks; reading, creating, and amending drawings


  • Participating in testing completed systems.


  • Collaborating closely with other members of the team


  • Considering manufacturing techniques and product finished design.


  • Working with marketing team for promotion of final product.

    Due to company growth, we are recruiting for a hands-on, enthusiastic product designer in our Head Office based at Westfield in Cumbernauld.

    This role would be supporting the company with design of a variety of products via digital design software, which will be used for both customer proposals, machine manufacture and operational reference.

    The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following attributes:

  • Proficiency in creating CAD drawings (experience with SolidWorks software)


  • Attention to detail to create accurate and detailed drawings and check other colleagues' work for accuracy and quality


  • Comfortable working directly with customers to provide product proposal drawings.


  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.


  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
