Anderson Knight are representing our new client for the senior appointment of a Financial Controller based out of their Head Office in Motherwell. This is a critical appointment at group level and will report directly to the CFO. 

This is a strategic role, you will work closely with the CFO and board level, playing a key role in identifying and driving change initiatives, constantly looking to drive innovation and process improvements.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Updating and improving current Financial modelling.
• Provide management information to other departments, informing on any unexpected issues impacting the financial performance of the site and proposing / implementing corrective actions.
• Lead and execute the site’s financial month-end and year-end closings (determining and analysing variances).
• Group VAT submissions.
• Ensure preparation of year end statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors.
• Prepare, lead and execute the site’s forecast and budgets, reforecasting to align with live trends.
• Lead, motivate and develop 2 direct reports.
• Treasury management. 
• Adhoc project work.

Our client is looking for a fully qualified professional, ideally with a background within audit. To succeed in this role you will need excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, both financial and non financial.
