Are you an innovative drinks specialist, passionate about fine wine, top-shelf spirits and cocktails? Excited about demonstrating your mixologist skills behind the bar of a world-leading luxury hotel? Then we invite you to join us as Head Bartender at Rocco Forte Hotels.

Heading up our talented team of bartenders, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our discerning clientele, working alongside the Bar Manager to grow the stellar reputation of our bar.

You will be responsible for creating lasting memories for our guests by providing warm and exceptional experiences. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • In conjunction with bar management lead the bar team to design and deliver exceptional cocktail experiences.

  • Collaborate with management and team to create new, innovative and exciting themed cocktails to enhance the overall dining experience.

  • Maintain high standards of service, ensuring consistency and quality in every drink served.

  • Manage bar inventory to ensure that stock is replenished and controlled to ensure overall efficiency.

  • Supporting, training and acting as a role model to new members of the team whilst fostering a creativity culture and strive for excellence.

  • Ensuring all bartenders understand drinks specifications, timings and LQA/Forbes service standards.

  • Regular deliver reinforcement and correct coaching to ensure team reaches potential whilst creating a supportive culture.

  • Managing team and difficult guest situation to obtain a positive outcome.

  • Supervise overall team in the absence of manager and assistant bar manager to ensure all guest and team needs are met.


  • An expert in all things food and drink, well-versed in market-leading wine, spirits and beer, you will impart your knowledge to customers with infectious enthusiasm. Leading by example, you will also motivate your team to speak with authority and confidence about our drinks menu, developing their skills and guiding them to anticipate guests' needs and surpass expectations. In turn, you'll be given the support to develop your skills as a manager and drinks specialist.

    You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for hospitality and guest service. You will be able to work effectively on own but manage a small team to ensure guest receive the luxury service expected. You will have the ability to handle difficult situations with grace and problem solve effectively. You will have the drive for a commitment to excellence and a strong eye for detail.

    The successful applicant will have previous experience in a similar high-end hospitality role and given the support to further develop your skills with us. You will be able to provide seamless five-star service through excellent communication, professionalism and discretion.
