Situated in an old bank on the corner of Bruntsfield and Morningside, McLarens is a local Bar & Restaurant. McLarens on The Corner, is McLarens for All offering coffee, cocktails, live sport or family celebrations. As Head Chef at McLarens On The Corner youll be delivering the best of fresh Scottish produce, creating delicious, hearty dishes that our customers will fall in love with. Service covers Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner with the opportunity to stretch your skills with Wine Dinners and Private Events. The local community is important to us and we work with the local people and businesses to keep our up to date and relevant. The Head Chef plays a key role here helping us stay ahead of the game! • Kitchen Management: Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and presentation.
• Menu Development and Planning: Create and update menus to align with Church offer Seasonal Ingredients.
• Inventory and Cost Control: Manage food stocks and costs, order supplies based on forecasts and minimise waste.
• Staff Training and Supervision: Recruit, train and mentor kitchen staff. Set standards, assign tasks and manage rotas.
• Food Safety and Compliance: Ensure kitchen adheres to health and safety, sanitation, cleaning and storage of ingredients.
  
  Two years minimum of Head Chef experience
• Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
• Critical thinker and problem solver
• Good Financial management skills
• Experience delivering themed events would be beneficial
