Full Job Description

The Scottish Information Commissioner enforces and promotes freedom of information (FOI) law.

 

As a key member if the Commissioner’s senior management team, the Head of Business Support (HOBS) will lead the delivery of our corporate services, organisational administration and business management, supporting the Commissioner to achieve his strategic and operational objectives.

 

You’ll bring:

  • work experience in a relevant discipline
  • the necessary skills to manage a team
  • excellent problem-solving skills
  • strong time-management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to write for, or speak to, a range of audiences
  • education to degree level (or equivalent level of skill or knowledge)

 

We offer:

  • Starting salary - £54,792 (gross p.a.) FTE on a scale rising to £65,800 (gross p.a.) FTE
  • Work location in St Andrews, Fife but some hybrid working will be possible
  • Flexible working arrangements (applications on a job share basis are welcome)
