Full Job Description
United Response are seeking a highly skilled Head of Change to drive impactful outcomes across our organisation as we go through our transformation journey. You will ensure successful delivery of agreed projects on time, within budget, and to the required specification. This role involves directly managing key projects or supporting others to deliver effectively, ensuring alignment with our mission and strategic goals. What you'll be doing: 1. Leadership and Strategy:
- Oversee the organisation's strategic project portfolio, ensuring alignment with United Response's mission and strategic objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on transformation initiatives and change management strategies. 2. Process Improvement:
- Lead the review and redesign of organisational processes to establish a consistent and efficient operating model.
- Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. 3. Project Management:
- Ensure projects are effectively scoped, resourced, and delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with desired outcomes.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks to monitor project progress and manage risks effectively. 4. Change Management:
- Champion a culture of positive change, guiding teams to adapt to new processes and systems.
- Develop tailored communication and training plans to support smooth transitions for staff and stakeholders. 5. Collaboration and Engagement:
- Partner with colleagues across services, housing, education, and other areas to ensure transformation efforts are cohesive and inclusive.
- Foster a collaborative approach to change, prioritising the voices of the people we support and our staff in decision-making. 6. Impact and Reporting:
- Measure and report on the success of transformation initiatives, using insights to shape future strategies.
- Celebrate and communicate achievements across the organisation.
To succeed in this role, you will need: - A proven track record of leading large-scale transformation or change programmes in complex organisations.
- Knowledge or qualifications in project progression methodologies (e.g., Critical Chain, Theory of Constraints).
- Familiarity with Project Governance frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2).
- Experience in change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci).
- Expertise in process mapping, process improvement, and implementing redesigns.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of digital transformation tools and methodologies.
