Full Job Description

Amplifi Talent is proud to partner with a rapidly growing business in West Lothian, currently seeking a commercially driven Head of Finance for a permanent position. We are looking for finance professionals with a strong strategic and commercial mindset, ideally with experience at the Senior Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or Head of Finance level.

This dynamic and expanding business provides a diverse range of services to a substantial client base, including well-known household names and leading brands. Backed by an innovative and forward-thinking leadership team, the company is actively pursuing new growth opportunities and exploring fresh sectors to enhance its value proposition.

As a key member of the leadership team, the Head of Finance will take on a highly strategic role, not only overseeing the day-to-day management of the finance function but also working closely with the CEO to shape the company’s financial strategy. The ideal candidate will be commercially focused, providing critical financial insights and serving as a key advisor on new business ventures. Your ability to align financial performance with broader business goals will be essential in driving sustainable growth and ensuring the company’s competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls and processes are in place.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, offering commercial insights to support business decisions.
  • Play a key role in identifying and evaluating new growth opportunities, advising on financial viability and risk.
  • Drive financial performance and efficiency, focusing on key areas such as Work in Progress (WIP), Invoice Management, VAT, and operational financial management.
  • Ensure financial strategies are aligned with the company’s long-term growth plans.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/CA) or QBE with significant relevant experience.
  • Strong leadership experience in managing finance teams or functions.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of financial management in a growth-oriented business environment.
  • Proven experience in contributing to strategic decision-making at a senior level.
  • A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with a focus on creating value.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially savvy finance professional to take on a high-impact role in a fast-paced, growing company.
