Full Job Description

As Head of Hospitality and Catering you'll play a pivotal role in shaping exceptional service experiences and driving commercial growth. You'll oversee all aspects of our hospitality operations, leading the development, delivery, and income generation of our services.
This is your opportunity to provide strategic leadership, exceed customer expectations, and ensure compliance while maintaining a strong financial focus. Working closely with diverse stakeholders, you'll elevate standards across our extensive and diverse portfolio of outlets and event operations.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Head of Hospitality and Catering to join us at York Commercial Limited (YCL), the commercial arm of the University of York., + An experienced hospitality and catering leader with significant experience in managing large scale/multisite venues or events (this is essential)
+ Experience of leading with vision and purpose in a fast-paced and diverse environment.
+ An ability to navigate the complexities of a large-scale operation, balancing strategic goals with operational demands.
+ A proven track record in financial management, team leadership and customer-focused service delivery.
+ An innovative approach and awareness of industry trends, translating these into actionable strategies.

+ Salary is £46,238 - £53,145 per annum, plus 10% performance related bonus.
+ Generous annual leave of 38 days including public holidays

The hours are 37 per week. Flexibility and occasional evening and weekend work is required. The role is based at the University of York campus, however there are occasions where you could work from home.
