This is a Hybrid working role, with travel to Farringdon and other sites nationwide, with flexibility required in line with business needs. Due to the nature of the role, a full valid UK driving licence is required. In this role, you'll leverage your sales and leadership experience, delivering the growth strategy for Royal Mail services by driving the team that is accountable for Royal Mail's largest and most prolific retail customers. - Direct, motivate and lead the team in the achievement of key business targets in order to deliver revenue, contribution, AUR and volume in line with business targets, acting as the lead for large customer opportunities
- Ensure that opportunities to retain and grow existing customers are identified, prioritised, and converted with the right levels of sales resource
- Compose and deploy the Strategic Account Management sales plan in line with the Commercial strategy, to increase share of spend, improve and enhance customer satisfaction, realise opportunities, deliver targets, and mitigate threat
- In conjunction with the Commercial Pricing, Product, Propositions and Marketing teams, successfully deploy new product campaigns and market-making solutions
- Provide accurate monthly, quarterly, and full year revenue, contribution and volume forecasting and reporting
- Deploy effective ways of working across Sales, Operations, and others to deliver greater efficiency and service for both the customer and the overall profitability of Royal Mail, using a stakeholder plan to manage customer interactions with all operational teams
Very strong inter-personal skills including being able to coach, motivate, empower and develop salespeople, with a commitment to role model our business values and leadership behaviours - Strong planning and project management skills, with experience in deploying change programmes
- Self-starter, capable of operating with ambiguity and a high degree of autonomy
- Commercially shrewd, with a challenger attitude that is focused on getting the best deal for RMG and our customers
- Strong negotiation skills and a focus on revenue and profit generation
- High level of understanding of the courier and express parcels market and the opportunities that exist for Royal Mail, Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related commercial field
- ISP (Institute of Sales Professional) Registered Sales Professional (desirable or working towards)
- ISP (Institute of Sales Professional) Certificate in Sales Professional (desirable or working towards)
