Full Job Description

In this role you'll design and write the Mass Affluent growth strategy for the next 5 years. You'll communicate the strategy and progress to a variety of audiences including creating executive level material (suitable for board level) and bringing the vision and strategy to life in an engaging way for customers and colleagues.

You'll gather external insights into Mass Affluent propositions at a broad range of financial services organisations, both within the UK and internationally. You'll conduct horizon scanning, including consumer trends, technology innovation, future regulatory proposals and any other relevant macro-economic developments.

You'll proactively build relationships with FinTechs, advisers, relevant industry bodies and other organisations of interest whilst building relationships with other teams across LBG to leverage and join up insights relevant to the customer base.

Using this insight and network, you'll identify potential opportunities for organic and inorganic growth of Mass Affluent customers, balances and AUA. Where growth opportunities are identified, you'll work across the team to size the opportunities and ensure all proposals are commercially viable. You'll then work with the propositions teams to move proposals from concept to delivery stage.

You'll provide commercial insight across the team, including sharing best practice and undertaking regular benchmarking to review our position vs competitors. You'll manage ad hoc strategic requests for deep dives into specific customer or business challenges

We're looking for someone energised about the Bank's purpose of Helping Britain Prosper who is passionate about customers and insight. You'd need to enjoy working in a start-up mindset with high ambiguity and fast pace, as well as…

  • Experience of designing and delivering commercial strategy and insight, whether that be at a large organisation or a smaller FinTech, ideally within the Affluent/Wealth Industry.

  • Knowledge and experience of working in the savings and investment markets.

  • Ability to shape priorities and strategy using detailed industry insights as well as economic, regulatory, social and competitor trends.

  • Ability to creatively solve problems and prioritise decisions related to customer propositions that generate good customer outcomes and market-leading solutions.

  • Ability to build positive relationships, influence and collaborate both internally and externally.

  • An understanding of digital trends and key emerging technologies.

  • A diverse, expansive external network.

Meeting more needs of Mass Affluent customers is a strategic growth priority for Lloyds Banking Group.

  • We're focused on designing new digitally-led propositions for the Mass Affluent customer segment, helping them not only with their everyday needs, but with their life goals and future plans. We're building an enthusiastic, passionate team to help us play a broader role in the lives of Mass Affluent customers and deliver our growth ambitions., Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms.

We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity or culture.

We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative.

And it's why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups.

We're disability confident. So if you'd like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%

  • An annual bonus award, subject to Group performance

  • Share schemes including free shares

  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping

  • 30 days' holiday, with bank holidays on top

  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
