Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) - Mental Health Inpatients

The shift pattern for this position is 4/7shifts- this includes nightshift, public holidays and weekends.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within North East Mental Health In-patients, in Stobhill Hospital. Whilst you will provide a
service to the site you will be based within Older People Mental Health (OPMH).
This post provides an excellent opportunity for a health care support worker to work within older peoples mental health. The
post holder will be a crucial part of the nursing team, working alongside registered nurses providing care and treatment for people with acute mental health conditions. You will work alongside a wider multidisciplinary team. You should demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Inpatient Services provide mental health nursing care for:
People requiring acute mental health care (i.e. older adults & adult)
People requiring specialist mental health care (e.g. specialist dementia care/ intensive mental health care/ rehabilitation etc.)
People requiring continued period of assessment, care and treatment for complex mental health care needs.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
