Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is 7 hour and 11.25 hour shifts.

This post will be based in the Imaging Departments in the Clyde Sector. We are looking for 2 enthusiastic clinical support workers who will assist with the clinical needs of the patient whilst in the Imaging Department. We have full and part time positions available.

The post will be based in Royal Alexandra Hospital with a rotational element to one of the other sites in the Clyde. The post will include a working pattern of 5 days over 7 and include shift work of 12 hour days and nights. This will include weekends and public holiday working.

This role:

  • Assists with patient preparation and patient needs prior to and after exams.
  • Working with Radiology IT systems to ensure correct identification of patients and assists in efficient through put of patients including IV cannulation.

The successful candidate will be patient focused and with some previous experience as a clinical support worker.
