Join EGGER UK at our Barony plant in East Ayrshire as a dynamic Health & Safety Senior Advisor. Drive safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of well-being. Contribute to a cutting-edge workplace, championing best practices in occupational health and safety. Embrace a pivotal role where your expertise makes a real impact., Provide competent support, advice, and guidance on safety legislation and good practices to all levels of the business.
- Oversee incident and near miss investigations, providing the necessary input to ensure that the true root cause is identified and appropriate preventative action(s) are put in place.
- Plan and undertake audits as per the established audit schedule.
- Undertake and contribute to H&S projects.
- Data evaluation and production of monthly and ad hoc reports.
- Travel to and support other EGGER sites within the UK as required.
- Write and review internal health and safety documentation.
- Deputise for the Hexham Health and Safety Manager.

NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent qualification preferred, but minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety required.
- Preferably have had experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstration of professional competence and development through providing evidence of continuing professional development.
- In-depth knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and associated legislation and ACOPS.
- ISO 45001 Internal Auditor.
- Be passionate about safety with the ability to communicate with all levels of the business.
- Ability to positively influence others.
- Intermediate standard of IT, including competent use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
