Full Job Description

INTERNAL APPLICANTS MUST APPLY VIA MYSELF

Do you have what it takes to make a difference and to help shape the way North Lanarkshire’s Health and Social Work services will work together in the future?

Demand for health and social work services is increasing and we are looking for an experienced and creative manager in North Lanarkshire’s Health and Social Care Partnership to deliver highly personalised services where people live – in their own homes and in their communities in a fully integrated way.

With transformation as our focus, an opportunity is available for someone with enthusiasm, drive and leadership skills to manage the delivery of Health and Social Work Community services alongside associated Secondary Health Care services and working closely with Children, Families and Justice Services in Education & Families. You will have the vital role of ensuring that resources are allocated in accordance with agreed plans and that expenditure is managed within financial standards. Although primarily responsible for the services in the North area, which covers three locality areas within the geographical areas of the North Health & Social Care Partnership, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the wider development of integrated services throughout North Lanarkshire.

You should be committed to continuous professional development, CQSW/Dip SW or equivalent with extensive experience of working at a senior level in a health or social work field. A masters qualification in a health or social work discipline and a management qualification are desirable.

An exceptional leader and excellent communicator, you should bring a proven track record of achievement in strategy, managing change and service development, and have experience of developing partnership working.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.

Should you wish to discuss the post in more detail, please contact Diane Fraser, Chief Officer Adult Health & Social Care. Email: fraserdi@northlan.gov.uk
