An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Health Visitor based at Ayrshire Central Hospital, covering a caseload in Irvine.
What you will do:
You will be creative, adaptable and to contribute to a multi-disciplinary, integrated team, that we believe makes real differences to improving the quality of children's lives. You will work in partnership with families and colleagues in NHS and partner services to enable children to have the best possible start in life. The nursing service supports learning and development and, as such, provides team members with continual learning and development opportunities in line with changing legislation, policy and practice in childrens services.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Registered nurse or midwife at degree level or equivalent.
Post-registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing and be registered on Part 3 of the NMC register
Educated to Masters level in a relevant nursing area, or can demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge gained through, for example, completion of NES modules on Assessment.
Can provide advice using significant understanding and application of legislation relating to information sharing, data storage and public protection.
Knowledge of health and social care pathways related to safeguarding, early intervention and protection.

Hours:
37 per week.
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
UK Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
