Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker at University Hospital Ayr.

What you will do:

You must have a genuine interest in Acute Medicine/Surgery/Urology and be dedicated to patient centred qualifications, experience and skills required care. You should have evidence of continued professional development along with all standard mandatory and statutory training up to date. In turn the CAU team will offer you a career long supported learning programme based around robust Competency Framework. You should be creative, enthusiastic and poses a can do attitude, with the wish to offer our patients the best experience possible whilst in our department.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

SVQ3 in Healthcare related subject and / or equivalent knowledge gained in a relevant area through experience, on the job training and/or short courses or appropriate competency to undertake role

Can demonstrate a range of core skills to competently undertake patient care and other tasks and activities.

Training is provided to enable the Senior HCSW to comply with the Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland 2009; and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers, both as amended from time to time.

Hours:

1 post - 34.1 hours per week permanent

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

UK Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
