An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Child Health Occupational Therapy Service for a Band 4 Healthcare Support Worker to join our team which provides a three tiered model of service delivery including universal, targeted and specialist interventions to children and young people from birth to 18 years. This post will be based in the Sunflower Centre, Perth Royal Infirmary and covers the Perth and Kinross locality.


This post will offer the post holder the opportunity to work with children with a variety of difficulties and gain skills and experience in Child Health Occupational Therapy. You will be required to work in a variety of community settings including mainstream schools, specialist school settings, and out-patient clinics. The post holder may work closely with a wide range of professionals and agencies including education, other health professionals and social work.


We are looking for an individual who has good communication skills and is committed to multi disciplinary team working. 

The Occupational Therapy Service offers supervision, appraisal, regular in-service training and is committed to Continued Professional Development.

You will be required to comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland throughout your employment.

Hours of work are:  Band 4 post : 32 hours per week
