HGV 2 Cash and Carry

HGV 2 (Cat C) Driver Wanted | Cash & Carry Deliveries |Edinburgh

Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting an experienced HGV 2 (Cat C) Driver for a client based in, Edinburgh, specialising in Cash & Carry deliveries. Although you’ll be driving a 7.5T vehicle, you will be paid at HGV 2 rates!

The Role:

• Start Time: 07:30 AM, Monday to Friday.
• Deliveries: Stock deliveries to restaurants, cafes, pubs, and other commercial properties.
• Responsibilities:
• Operating a tail lift and manually handling stock.
• Some heavy lifting (e.g., crates of alcohol).
• Completing daily vehicle checks and paperwork.
• Managing busy city centre multi-drop runs.
• Permanent Opportunity: This role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

What You Need:

• Category C licence (held for at least 1 year).
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous commercial driving experience (preferred).
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.
• Maximum 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements due to insurance restrictions).

 Pay Rates (PAYE with Holiday Accrual):

• £14.00 per hour (basic).
• £18.66 per hour (overtime).
