Full Job Description

You will work within the NHS Tayside Childrens Speech and Language Therapy service as a Band 7 SLT in Perth and Kinross locality. You will have an interest in quality improvement and leadership.

Your clinical role will be to support children with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs.

Your role will also include support and mentoring to SLT team members in this specialist area and provide leadership, in assistance to the Team Lead, to a small geographic hub of therapists.

You will bring extensive skills, knowledge and experience in working with both pre-school and school aged children and experience and understanding of how to support children with complex needs across a variety of educational placements.

You will also be involved in delivering programmes and activities to reduce inequalities as part of the service wide work at a universal and targeted level.

The work is wide ranging and includes joint work with partners in other agencies

You will join a supportive team where professional development is supported and encouraged. You will be based in the Speech and Language Therapy departments in Perth and Kinross locality but may be required to work flexibly across NHS Tayside in schools and community settings as well as in health settings and be willing to travel to a number of sites.

Hours of work are:  29.5 hours per week
