An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join an evolving Hospital @ Home service.  This is part of a pilot to test and develop the Hospital @ Home service in Shetland.  Hospital @ Home currently consists of a 4 bedded virtual ward and provides hospital care for patients in their own homes preventing admission to or reducing the length of time people require to spend in hospital.

As a nurse with registration on Part 1 of the NMC Register you should have evidence of continuous professional development. You will need excellent communication skills and be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Experience of working in acute areas as well as caring for patients in their own homes is desirable.  A full driving licence is also required.

This contract is fixed-term until 31st August 2025 to allow for ongoing workforce planning and review of establishment.  If you wish to apply for this post as a secondment opportunity, you will need to discuss with your line manager before submitting an application.
