Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Housekeeper to join our team within the Acute Medicine Unit at Raigmore Hospital. The Acute Medicine Unit covers an Acute Medical Assessment area, Ambulatory Emergency Care and Medical High Dependency Unit.
This post is based within the Acute Assessment Unit - The Acute Assessment Unit admits all specialities of patients 24/7 providing a fast paced and interesting environment to work within.
You should be able to work well as part of a large and diverse multidisciplinary team. Candidates should have excellent care values and a strong sense of team spirit coupled with a sense of humour. Candidates should have enthusiasm to work, learn and develop yourself and colleagues within the exciting and challenging high pressure environment. You should possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
Our housekeeper role is essential to support the team on AMU, responsible for supporting the team through maintaining a high standard of housekeeping on the ward.
Hours of work will be 0800-2030 covering a 7 day period on a rota basis.
Experience in this type of role would be preferred but not essential.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
