Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housing Officer to join our team based in Glasgow. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that high quality housing management services are delivered to our residents with a focus on making a real difference to their lives. This is a varied opportunity that will see you managing a range of situations and helping to build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working in a professional manner to resolve problems and improve services. The role of Housing Officer will include:

  • Delivering a high-quality housing management service to tenants, partners and key stakeholders
  • Ensuring arrears targets are met, and allocating void and new let properties
  • Investigating and resolving anti-social behaviour cases
  • Completing estate management weekly inspections
  • Identifying shortfalls in service delivery and putting plans of resolution into place
  • Managing the recruitment, performance and development of staff to ensure business needs are met
  • Ensuring compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements for all housing management activities

    Proven experience of undertaking a similar role within housing
  • Knowledge of relevant housing regulations and legislation
  • Proven experience of delivery high quality tenancy services
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to implement solutions
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office packages is essential
  • SVQ3 in relevant area or equivalent qualification
  • Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
