Full Job Description

Falkirk Council is inviting applications to undertake the role of Housing Support Assistant on a permanent basis delivering trauma-informed support to the residents of the Castings., You will work 15 hours per week. Shift Time 07:30 hrs - 15:00 hrs & 14:45 hrs - 22:15 hrs, Saturday & Sunday.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.

If you are keen to learn new skills in a challenging environment, gain valuable experience and make a difference to people's lives then the Castings is for you. You will be working alongside an established team delivering person-centered support to vulnerable adults in a housing support service.

The Castings is beginning a magical transformation, and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to be a part of this journey. Educated to, or working towards, SVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent, you will be familiar with the SSSC codes of practice. You will also have a sound knowledge of the causes of homelessness as well as being acquainted with homeless legislation. You must have a working knowledge of the benefits system and welfare rights.
