Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join our HR Team. 

Working within a dynamic patient-centred service, this is a stimulating role bringing new challenges and opportunities. In order to succeed, you will need to have a proactive and flexible approach, be skilled in managing challenging employee relations casework and have experience of working in complex, unionised environments as well as having a good working knowledge of current employment legislation. You should demonstrate an innovative approach to people development and commitment to promoting a culture of high performance to maximise the talent and skills of the Services Workforce. 

You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with staff, staff partners and managers at all levels, handling multi-channel communication and have the ability to influence others. You will also be able to demonstrate effective time management and planning and organisational skills as well as being self-motivated in order to meet tight deadlines in an extremely busy department. 

Reporting to the HR Manager (North Region), you will work closely with other HR professionals as well as autonomously to provide a quality, value added HR provision to the Management Team within the North Region and across the wider organisation as required. 

You will be educated to degree-level, or equivalent with relevant postgraduate qualification, or have an equivalent level of knowledge and experience. Applicants should have or be working towards Chartered membership of the CIPD. Experience of working in the NHS and knowledge of NHS Scotland terms and conditions would be desirable. 
Travel primarily across Scotland will be a requirement and the successful candidate must have a drivers licence and access to a personal car. Mileage and expenses can be reclaimed.
