Full Job Description

Anderson Knight are supporting a growing organisation who are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their dynamic HR team. This is a full time permanent position, and would be a remote working opportunity initially with the possibility of a few days each week in the Glasgow office further down the line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert HR advice and support to managers and employees, handle employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and assist in disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Ensure HR policies are in line with employment law, advise management on legal HR matters, and maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Support the performance management process, offer coaching to managers, and assist with coordinating relevant training programs.
  • Manage general HR queries, maintain HR communications, and generate reports.
  • Play an active role in HR projects aimed at improving processes and enhancing the overall employee experience.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:


To be successful in this role, you will need experience in a similar HR Advisor role, ideally from an organisation of a similar scale (c. 1000 employees). In addition, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:


  • A strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and trade unions.
  • Experience in handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities, with a track record of managing conflict and achieving positive outcomes.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • The ability to manage change, balance competing priorities, and absorb new information quickly.
  • Creativity and flexibility in finding innovative solutions.
