Full Job Description

HR Advisor

Location: Glasgow city centre - Travel to Edinburgh office will be required

Salary: 32k to 35k DOE per annum

Hours of work: Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm

Experience: Human Resources

A bit about the role…

  • Advise, support and coach people managers in the correct application of HR policies and approaches
  • Provision of HR advice to employees, including advice around our family friendly provisions
  • Refine and operate key HR processes and procedures e.g. inductions, exit interviews etc. and co-ordinate relevant correspondence with HR Assistants
  • Use of management information to identify trends/ issues in conjunction with HR Business Partners
  • Manage employee relations cases from end to end which may include conduct, absence management or performance cases, with support from HR Business Partner as required
  • Provide help to implement change management initiatives
  • Facilitate skills development sessions within the wider business
  • Ensure accurate data is maintained on HR systems
  • Assist HR Business Partners with cyclical processes e.g. annual pay and bonus reviews
  • Support the recruitment process as required (up to Partner level)
  • Undertake various ad hoc projects and activities as required in accordance with agreed HR team priorities

  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A good grasp of employment law as well as a firm understanding of the workings and application of core HR processes will also be required.
  • Able to use initiative and make decisions with minimum guidance, within realm of responsibilities
  • Influencing and persuasion skills
  • Solid and demonstrable experience of working in professional services or within a financially regulated environment would be desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of guiding business managers in straight forward employee relations matters
