Full Job Description

Anderson Knight is working exclusively with a client based in Lanarkshire to recruit a HR Advisor. This is a permanent position, 37.5 hours per week with the potential to work 4 days. Our client is currently working on a remote basis with the likelihood of hybrid working being introduced further down the line.


Our client is looking for a proactive HR Advisor to join their team and help cultivate a positive, dynamic workplace culture. In this role, you'll be instrumental in overseeing day-to-day HR operations, handling employee relations casework, implementing policies and supporting on key projects. The position offers a diverse and engaging workload, with the opportunity to work on a variety of impactful projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support managers in resolving Employee Relations (ER) matters, providing guidance on disciplinary actions and grievance processes.
  • Offer expert advice on Attendance and Performance Management.
  • Manage day-to-day HR functions, including employee onboarding, offboarding, and general HR administration.
  • Support the recruitment process, assisting the Recruitment manager with interviews
  • Contribute to HR initiatives, including employee engagement and development programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, offering HR support and advice.
  • Stay up to date with HR best practices, policies, and procedures.

What We’re Looking For:


  • Experience in the Utilities or Construction sector would be a bonus
  • A solid understanding of HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR operations role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels.
  • Proficiency in HR software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
