Position:

An opportunity has arisen for two permanent HR Assistants based at Lister Street, University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do:

Working within the Central Employment Services team, you will facilitate the recruitment and employment service processes for managers and staff within the organisation and assist in the collection, collation and calculation of data to support workforce planning and other specific projects.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the recruitment process including drafting and placing adverts to undertaking all pre-employment checks, processing appointment transactions for staff to Payroll and issuing contractual documentation. You will also provide advice and guidance to managers and staff on terms and conditions and HR policy to ensure fairness and consistency of employment practice within the organisation.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

Educated to HNC level or equivalent knowledge, you will have excellent IT skills with the ability to use various systems and software packages, particularly an HR system, Excel and Access, together with a sound knowledge of HR policies, procedures and NHS pay and conditions of service. With well developed communication and interpersonal skills, you will have the confidence and ability to communicate with staff and managers at all levels of the organisation. You will have the ability to work effectively in a busy environment and manage conflicting demands, demonstrable organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
