Full Job Description

Our client is looking for an HR Assistant to join their team on a fixed term contract until December 2025. The HR Assistant will manage the administration and coordination of various generalist HR activities. Additionally, this role will support the global HR team with different tasks and contribute to project work as required. This is a hybrid working role based on the outskirts of Edinburgh and a driving licence and own car would be preferred.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in recruitment processes, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and pre-screening candidates.
  • Lead specific recruitment initiatives as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute offer letters to new hires.
  • Coordinate onboarding, including induction scheduling and document collection.
  • Deliver HR induction presentations and share new hire information.
  • Monitor employee progress during the probationary period.
  • Manage offboarding for departing employees, including exit interviews and reference requests.
  • Archive exit files and training records.
  • Process contract changes and update relevant systems.
  • Schedule internal training, maintain attendance records, and handle annual renewals.
  • Manage external training requests and maintain records.
  • Facilitate payroll amendments and assist with payroll enquiries.
  • Generate monthly payroll reports and maintain accurate employee data.
  • Support the payroll system and handle departmental invoices.
  • Administer employee relations cases, including documentation and meeting coordination.
  • Manage the HR email inbox
