HR Assistant

Are you an organised, proactive HR professional looking for an exciting temporary role to round out the year? We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Assistant to support a busy People Solutions team through the end of December, with potential for extension.  

About the Role:

As the HR Assistant, you’ll play an essential part in ensuring smooth operations within the HR team. From managing employee records to providing advice on HR policies, you’ll be the go-to for a wide range of HR-related tasks. This role is full-time (35 hours/week) with an hourly rate of £13.75 - £16.50 (DOE)

What You’ll Do:

- Act as a key point of contact for daily HR queries and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
- Oversee HR documentation, including onboarding paperwork, employment contracts, and right-to-work checks.
- Maintain and update employee records in HR/Payroll systems.
- Support the tracking and recording of employee leave and absences.
- Process monthly payroll support tasks and help with any ad-hoc administrative tasks.
- Coordinate and issue documentation related to changes in employment terms.
- Collaborate with the HR team on various projects and process improvements.

What We’re Looking For:

- A couple of years of experience in HR administration or a similar role.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage queries professionally and promptly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- A proactive approach and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
