Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity had arisen for an experienced HR practitioner to join the University of St Andrews HR team as HR Specialist. The focus of the role is to ensure a consistent and timely approach to the investigation process, ensuring the investigation mangers are trained, supported during the process and provided with appropriate advice in line with internal policy and employment legislation and that there is a supportive environment for all concerned. The role will be ideal for someone looking to advance their career in HR and whilst focusing on the ER investigations aspect, there will be opportunity to experience wider HR work and provide general advice and guidance to schools/units as required. The role will sit within the HR parterning team and report to the Deputy Director of HR.

We are looking for an individual with experience of handling complex case work, managing hearings, who is up to date on employment legislation, with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail and the ability to advise with confidence and build strong and impactful working relationships, as well as manage multiple deadlines.
