Full Job Description

Due to expansion and growth, we are excited to recruit a HR Placement Student to join us at our Antrim site. As an entry level position, this role offers hands-on experience and foundation in human resources., The HR Placement will be responsible for: - To maintain effective filing systems including ensuring that electronic personnel records are updated and compliant with GDPR regulations and relevant retention periods. - To facilitate minute taking as required. - To arrange meetings, booking rooms and hospitality as requested. - To maintain and update the HR diary. - To assist the HR Officer in preparing return to work documentation. - To collect, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail. - To provide recruitment administration support to the HR team i.e. producing application packs, scheduling interviews and issuing interview outcomes. - To assist the HR Officer in the processing new starters/ leavers within the organisation. - To assist the HR Officer in the preparation of the weekly payroll. - To produce reports as required. - Assist our internal health and well-being team to drive new initiatives for our employees. - To undertake any other relevant duties which may be required About the Candidate As a HR Placement, you will play a key role in supporting SAM's HR department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and dynamic team. This placement offers the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real life workplace scenarios and develop essential HR skills. You will support key HR operations such as recruitment and onboarding, employee engagement, and day-to-day HR administration. Your role will span the entire employee life cycle from the recruitment process, employee relations, and the implementation of various HR initiatives. Why work for SAM?

    Working towards a degree in a related subject such as HR, Business or Psychology. If your degree is unrelated but you have an interest in HR, you can still apply.
  • Confident to manage a busy workload within a busy office environment.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with a team
  • Self-motivated and confident individual.
  • Possess a flexible approach and a 'can do' attitude
  • Results driven team player with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook & Teams).
