Are you passionate about promoting a positive Health, Safety, and Environmental culture in the workplace? As an HSE Advisor in Glenrothes, you will use your knowledge and skills to promote a positive Health and Safety culture in the workplace and support numerous projects to meet the requirements of the Health, Safety and Environment Management systems. Your role will also involve assisting the site teams and managers by recognising Hazards and seeking methods to minimise Risks whilst creating, maintaining, and improving the Health, Safety and Environmental standards. You will champion HSE initiatives in the workplace whilst ensuring that employers and workers comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and that all safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to., Occupational Health & Safety:
- Provide consistent HSE guidance, training, and support across all departments to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Identify hazards, minimize risks, and ensure timely incident investigations with effective corrective actions.
- Lead compliance audits for ISO 14001 and 45001, and maintain the HSE management system in line with relevant standards.
- Conduct HSE awareness campaigns and monitor proper use of PPE on-site.
- Manage occupational health provisions, emergency responses, and industrial hygiene surveys as per local legislation.
- Oversee third-party contractor HSE compliance. Environmental:
- Regularly review and update environmental impact assessments, monitoring key aspects and objectives.
- Promote environmental awareness and provide consistent support on environmental issues and initiatives.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating potential environmental impacts. Administration:
- Develop and maintain HSE management systems and ensure all HSE data is accurately entered into company systems.
- Conduct necessary HSE training, including site inductions for new hires and contractors.
- Ensure HSE noticeboards are current and relevant, and participate in HSE communications and committee meetings.
- Stay updated on HSE legislation, liaise with relevant authorities, and contribute to internal audits and inspections.

NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent. - Familiarity with ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 standards.
- Experience in an advisory role with strong communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Desirable:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Working experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry.
- Experience in heavy engineering, lifting, and slinging.
- Ability to deliver training effectively.
