Full Job Description

Mac Recruit Group are delighted to represent our client, an Ayeshire based Wind Turbine specialist who undertake work all over the UK. Their full service for clients includes blade repair, installation of wind turbines, blade inspection and much more. The HSEQ Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and improving Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) policies, systems, and procedures across the organization. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ policies and procedures in alignment with legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Monitor compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, ensuring that the organization meets local and national regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards and policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for all job functions and processes.
  • Identify potential health, safety, and environmental risks, implementing corrective actions to prevent incidents.
  • Develop and update risk management protocols, implementing best practices for risk mitigation.
  • Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and recommending preventative measures.
  • Maintain records of incidents, inspections, and audits, ensuring that accurate documentation is available for review and analysis.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on HSEQ performance, including trends, incidents, and improvement recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver HSEQ training programs to employees at all levels, covering topics such as workplace safety, emergency response, and quality standards
  • Ensure that employees understand and follow health and safety regulations, fostering a proactive safety cultures.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in HSEQ systems, processes, and policies. 
  • Develop and enforce environmental policies to reduce the organization’s ecological footprint.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and manage waste disposal, emissions, and resource usage.
  • Promote sustainable practices and initiatives that support the company’s environmental goals.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of HSEQ regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform detailed risk assessments and audits.
  • IOSH managing safety course and NEBOSH national general certificate essential.
