HSEQ & Security Advisor

Based at Highland Fuels headquarters in Inverness, the HSEQS Advisor will be responsible for supporting the business in achieving its HSEQS strategy and driving compliance with the highest standards of safety, health, environment, quality, and security throughout the organisation.

This role encompasses a wide range of duties, including:

• Develop and implement: HSEQ, security and crisis management policies, procedures, and standards.


• Manage risks: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the company's operations.


• Ensure compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant HSEQ and security regulations.


• Provide training: Provide training and education to employees on HSEQ and security matters.


• Investigate and respond: Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and develop emergency response plans.


• Coordinate and support: Coordinate emergency response efforts, support business areas in HSEQS matters, and participate in stakeholder meetings.
  
  Strong organisational skills

• Effective training and coaching skills


• Excellent communication skills to coordinate across the business


• Experience in 'High Hazard' Industry


• NEBOSH qualified, or equivalent


• Fire Risk Assessor certificate is desirable


• Strong working knowledge of ISO and quality management


• Experience in bulk fuels storage, transport, marine bunker operation are desirable


• Experience with COMAH and DSEAR regulations is desirable


• Experience with petrochemicals industry is desirable


• Security and crisis management experience is desirable
  
  Highland Fuels have been supplying fuel to homes and businesses around Scotland since 1957.
