Full Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Engineer to join our team in the nuclear industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems within our nuclear facilities. This role is critical in ensuring the environmental control and safety of our operations.,

  • System Design and Development


  • Design HVAC systems tailored to the unique requirements of nuclear facilities, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

  • Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and drawings for HVAC installations.


  • Installation and Commissioning
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.

  • Conduct system testing and verification to ensure proper operation.


  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for HVAC systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues to ensure continuous and efficient operation.


  • System Optimization
  • Analyze HVAC system performance and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

  • Implement modifications and upgrades to enhance system reliability and reduce energy consumption.


  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure all HVAC engineering activities comply with national and international nuclear safety regulations and standards.

  • Prepare and maintain required documentation and reports for regulatory bodies.


  • Project Management
  • Manage HVAC engineering projects from concept to completion, including budget management and timeline adherence.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and contractors to ensure project success.


  • Risk Management
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for HVAC systems.

  • Implement safety protocols and procedures to protect personnel and equipment.


  • Technical Support
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other engineering teams and departments.

  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of HVAC equipment and materials.


  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in HVAC engineering.

  • Stay current with advancements in HVAC technology and industry standards.


  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of designs, installations, maintenance activities, and system performance.

  • Generate reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified HVAC Designer, Professional Engineer (PE)) is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HVAC engineering experience, preferably within the nuclear industry or a similarly regulated environment.

  • Skills:


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in HVAC design software and tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

  • Strong project management skills.


  • Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

  • Willingness to travel to various sites and facilities as needed.
