I & C Engineer- Telecoms

Signalling & Telecoms (S&T) provide cost-effective engineering solutions for railway signalling projects throughout the UK. As a team we manage the full project life cycle and complete all aspects of design, project engineering, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance support, across all signalling technologies, equipment and systems. We also provide design, supply, install and test services for operational and lineside telecommunication renewals, either as a single discipline provider, or as part of multidisciplinary project, to ensure end-to-end connectivity. We also offer these capabilities for station information and security systems., As an experienced I & C Engineer you will manage and take responsibility for all Telecoms installation and commissioning activities allocated within projects. You will undertake the role of Lead Telecoms Tester (and/or other supporting installation & testing roles) for projects and support the Telecoms Engineering team in ensuring continuous improvement of installation and test activities to realise cost & programme efficiencies.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Telecoms Railway Systems and evidence of installation and testing competence in accordance with standards/ regulations. Ideally holding an HNC/ HND qualification and/ or hold the relevant IRSE licences and competencies.,

• Transmission Systems (FTN/ FTNx)
• Cables - Copper/ Fibre/ Data
• SISS related equipment - PA, CIS, CCTV
• Standby Power Supplies - AC/ DC
