Full Job Description
Barnardo's is committed to promoting, protecting and enabling children's rights. Our Hear 4u Advocacy Service works to ensure children and young people understand their rights, supports them to have their views heard within decision making processes and assists them to raise their concerns., In this key role you will provide an independent advocacy service for children and young people from priority groups. Your role will be assisting children and young people to express their thoughts and views, ensuring that they can participate in the processes that affect their lives. You will also contribute to service development and evaluation. Experience of working directly with children, young people and families in a paid or voluntary setting will be essential, along with a sound understanding of child protection issues and a current driving license and access to a car for business purposes. Part time hours available: 16hrs/18.5hrs/25hrs per week. Office base in Dumfries.
