Full Job Description

Anderson is currently seeking an Indirect Procurement Specialist for one of our clients based in Grangemouth.

The Indirect Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimising the procurement of non-production goods and services. This role involves strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, and ensuring that procurement activities align with the company's overall goals and budget requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and a keen eye for identifying cost-saving opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect categories, including but not limited to IT, Marketing, HR, Facilities, and Professional Services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery, negotiate favorable terms, and manage supplier performance.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and efficiency in the procurement of indirect goods and services.
  • Lead negotiations for contracts and agreements, ensuring that terms and conditions are favorable and aligned with company policies.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across departments to understand their needs, provide guidance, and ensure procurement activities support overall business objectives.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance to senior management.

Qualifications:

·        3 years of experience in indirect procurement or a related field.

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience with procurement software and systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
