Full Job Description

  • Key member of the Manufacturing Engineering team implementing Design for Manufacture and Assembly techniques and providing full process technical support to the manufacturing team.
  • Delivering production processes that will deliver on time and to budget
  • Drive process implementation and validation to support both manufacturing and pre-production.
  • Influence and monitor product maturity from concept to series production.
  • Using structured problem solving techniques to minimise production downtime
  • Support manufacturing in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure a level of governance around Manufacturing data packs and processes

  • Procurement & Logistics staff
  • Sub-contract managers
  • Technicians and Test Engineers
  • Quality Engineers
  • Fellow team members (mix of multi-functional staff)

  • Experience of Manufacturing processes implementation
  • Focussed on meeting deadlines with good time management and prioritisation skills
  • Experience of product line activities, routings, visual aids, corrective actions and product costing.
  • The ability to work on own initiative when required, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Electronic or Manufacturing Engineering degree, or studying towards are preferable however candidates with suitable experience within a manufacturing environment will also be considered.
