Hourly rate of pay: £18.70 - 20.32

Temporary until 31st March 2026.
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00
Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.

East Lothian children’s services have an exciting opportunity for an information and service support officer. This is a unique role within the service development and review team. The candidate will have a varied remit within a team that delivers on information management, policy and planning, quality assurance, business planning and service improvement activity. The post is temporary and fixed for one year from the date of appointment. Secondments will be considered.

The post holder will lead on providing performance management information for and on behalf of the senior management team and be the lead for the case management system (MOSAIC). The post holder will also lead on working with information management programmes including InPhase and PowerBI. Candidates should also be confident in working with information data bases and EXCEL.

The post holder will be responsible for the line management of business support, maximising service delivery within specific standards in accordance with the Council’s policies. Excellent working knowledge and skills in data protection and data security will be a key requirement for the role.

The role of information and service support officer will involve partnership working with our MOASIC team, social work teams, council departments and multi-agency partners including the third sector and national agencies. Candidates should be skilled in working in partnership to lead and deliver on varied project activities to a high standard within agreed timescales.

Candidates should work well under pressure and be able to manage competing demands from Scottish Government requests, children's services partners and the children’s services management team.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to HNC or SVQ Level 3 in relevant discipline e.g. Information Management or Business Management.
