Full Job Description
As an instructor, you will provide local training of production operatives in various functions in production, according to defined training material and valid work instructions local training of production operatives in various functions in production, according to defined training material and valid work instructions. You will be responsible for the development and preparation of local training material in cooperation with subject matter experts and provide evaluations of production operatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team within our business at the forefront of the roll implementation of our new blade type and onboarding and training our new colleagues. This role is seen as a change agent and someone that positively influences both culture and behaviour, as well as working with teams and stakeholders to optimise both process and people utilisation Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Training and evaluating operatives using defined training material and valid work instructions - segment specific
- Theoretical and practical delivery of internal basic, familiarization and specialist training to meet local and global frameworks and UK legislation
- Ensuring practical delivery includes simulation work of activities and training areas are suitable to the exercise, free from hazards and has minimal impact on production activities
- Training and delivering additional technical courses to both white- and blue-collar workers in line with certification and recertification program and segment related toolbox talks, safety/quality flashes where the topics relate to training and/or competencies (including but not limited to: - epoxy, epoxy refresher, manual handling, risk factor, spill kit, emergency response, internal fire warden, familiarization first aid, buddy)
- Supporting the delivery of a vocational competency-based curriculum up to level 4 using awarding body standard and criteria
- Under the direction of the Training Dept. and Global Governance, contribute to the development of courses, training materials and resources to ensure compliance with global standards, curriculum best practice and quality targets
- Continuously monitoring the effectiveness of the training programs and works with team members to maintain and modify training programs and materials to assure adherence to global governance, local arrangements, legislative guidelines, and policies as required
- Handing of NCR (Non-Conformance Report) in connection with execution of processes
- Using production data to identify common/reoccurring quality related themes or activities and support improvement to eradicate these
- Development and preparation of local training material in cooperation with SMEs
- Ensures training material and documentation meets ISO9001 regarding quality assurance and SGRE process/document house compliance
- Using SWP (safe work practices) training web data/Group Account or other LMS (Learning Management System), evaluate and analyze information relating to individual and group training profiles including allocation and achievement of these
- Ensure the training delivered follows EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) legislation, policies and procedures
- Evaluate operatives' competence to ensure valid work instructions are followed with focus on safety and quality
- Provide robust and complete data to ensure the accurate recording of training competence (through logbooks, OJTs and trackers etc.) to enable timely updates for the site's competence matrices and KPIs
- Work collaboratively with the Training Dept. and other instructors to ensure training records are accurate and maintained in line with data protection, global governance, local legislation and standards
- Concludes all training with an objective assessment of the trainee and must be confident in critiquing trainees and giving feedback throughout the course
- Illicit course feedback; evaluate and communicate training improvements/suggestions, e.g., from blue collars to global trainers for evaluation and approval
- Provide technical support for production and act as subject matter experts offering both hands on and technical advice
- Work collaboratively with internal customers to improve quality repair index matrices and reduce errors and waste
- Support production managers, team leads, and group leads as needed

- In house training delivery experience is highly preferred (Buddies)
- IT knowledge, particularly Microsoft office skills (Excel & Word)
- Competent to work under pressure to deadlines and take responsibility for own work
- Strong demonstration of quality adherence in the role of a subject matter expert (SME)
- Strong demonstration of safety compliance in a manufacturing environment or similar
- Business administration and reporting for KPIs is preferred
- Business improvement experience
