Full Job Description

As a Product Owner at Spire Healthcare, you will be a key player in translating Spire Healthcares strategic vision into actionable deliverables, focusing on delivering specific areas within a digital product and/or service. Reporting to the Director of Products, you will be working on one or multiple key transformational initiatives that are currently happening at Spire Healthcare. Day to day, you will be working with other Product Owners and an overarching Product Manager or Platform Manager to deliver initiatives, you will be responsible for managing your specific area product backlog. You will also be working with Business Analysts and stakeholders to define user stories and ensuring the agile development teams have everything they need to deliver high-quality products that meet the needs of patients, partners, and the business.,

  • Work closely with the Value Steam Owner, Product Manager(s) or Platform Manager(s), and other Product Owners to understand the vision and strategic priorities for digital initiatives and translate these into a detailed product backlog for your area of responsibility.
  • Prioritize user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items, ensuring clear communication of priorities to the agile development teams.
  • Act as a key liaison between the development team and stakeholders, facilitating discussions, providing clarification, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Monitor progress against goals, adjusting the product backlog as necessary to respond to changes in requirements, priorities, or market conditions.
  • Participate in all agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Delivery Management team (e.g., Delivery Managers) to deliver benefits and products across to the Spire Healthcare Strategic Roadmap.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, subject matter experts, and technical teams to ensure product features are user-centric, feasible, and aligned with Spires quality standards.
  • Conduct market and user research to inform product decisions and ensure the product remains competitive and relevant.
  • Measure and report on product performance using key metrics, soliciting feedback from users and stakeholders to inform future development cycles.
  • Ensure all product developments comply with relevant healthcare regulations and standards, working closely with the regulatory and compliance teams.
  • Work with the Director of Products and with Spire Healthcare's Agile Change Community to promote the Agile mindset and ways of delivery

    Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in an agile development environment, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Strong understanding of delivery methodologies and principles (ideally both Agile and Waterfall), with the ability to effectively manage an Agile product backlog and prioritize work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders, including technical teams, healthcare professionals, and patients.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities, capable of making data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry standards, regulations, and the digital healthcare landscape.
  • Desirable:
  • Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Leading SAFe, SAFe POPM).
  • Knowledge of user-centric design principles and experience working with UX/UI design teams.
  • Experience using and setting up agile tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow Agile Team)
  • Experience delivering against and operating with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
