Full Job Description

Rutherford Cross are pleased to be working in exclusive partnership with an organisation based in the West of Scotland to appoint an Interim Finance Manager for an initial 9-month period.


Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation and audit of annual accounts across the group of including planning and liaison with external auditors
  • Managing financial planning processes including business plan, medium term financial plan and annual budget
  • Financial monitoring and reporting processes across the group; budget monitoring, management accounts, financial reporting to management, senior management team and the Board
  • Managing the investing and borrowing activities and cash flow forecasting for the business ensuring that the activities comply with the approved Treasury Management Strategy, Policy and business plans objectives
  • Drafting the annual treasury strategy, the annual treasury report and regular quarterly treasury updates for the audit committee / board of management
  • Providing input to review and development of and to comply with the approved policies and procedures and legislative, financial or regulatory requirements that are in place to cover financial activities
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Providing effective leadership to the finance team
  • Ad hoc work as required

The Individual:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent)
  • Available within 4 weeks’ notice
  • Experience in a similar Group Accountant or Finance Manager role

On Offer:

  • Day rate equivalent salary of £55,000 - £60,000 p.a.
  • Likelihood of becoming permanent
  • Remote working with occasional travel to West of Scotland office
