Full Job Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to partner with our client in the service sector to appoint an Interim Statutory Account for a 12-15-month maternity cover based in Glasgow.


This role will report directly into the Financial Reporting Manager and will be expected to take ownership of tax and statutory reporting requirements and ensure timely reporting and submission of returns. They will take ownership of compliance and key tax policies, while continuing to implement process improvements and best practice across the financial reporting function.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Completion and submission of returns for VAT, P11d, PSA, PPPR, ONS
  • Prepare and submit weekly cashflow
  • Process & post UK Monthly Payroll
  • Identify and implement process improvements for VAT returns
  • Annual statutory accounts preparation
  • Complete PBC list for auditors and main point of contact for auditors
  • Review of balance sheet reconciliation process supporting standardisation, review process and risk reporting
  • Following on from year end audit position, support the high-risk balance sheets accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy of these accounts on a monthly basis
  • Corporation Tax pack

 

We are looking to engage with Qualified Accountants with approx. 2+ years post qualification experience in a comparable role. Advanced excel skills are essential, and Microsoft Dynamics experience would be helpful.
