Our client is now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join their Greater Glasgow team.

Role

As a Senior Interior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in our design studio, overseeing and managing the full life cycle of projects. Your creative vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills will be crucial in delivering outstanding designs that align with our client's vision. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team of designers and industry professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept development through to project completion, ensuring adherence to client requirements, budgets, and timelines.

• Utilise your extensive experience in Interior design to create warm and homely interior spaces that reflect the identity and enhance the experience.

• Oversee and mentor junior designers, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to source materials, furnishings, and finishes that meet project specifications and quality standards.

• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the smooth execution and successful delivery of design projects.

• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, integrating them into the design.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in interior design.

• Proven track record in successfully managing and delivering large-scale projects from conception to completion.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience in guiding and mentoring junior designers.

• Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to clients and team members effectively.

• A keen eye for detail, exceptional spatial awareness, and a deep understanding of materials, finishes, and furnishings within the care and residential sector.
