Full Job Description
The Marks Processing Project is developing a standard operating procedure for the processing of students assessment marks that will be implemented across the University. This will require an accompanying set of training resources to support its implementation. The role holder will work with colleagues across the College and School structures to identify training needs, design, produce and deliver training materials, including producing training videos and in-person training sessions. You will need to demonstrate substantial experience in identifying training needs and planning, designing and delivering training, both in-person and in producing short, high-quality training videos. You will work alongside subject matter experts to develop a suite of training materials that supports the implementation of consistent ways of working, providing a lasting training resource repository for the University., The role holder will work with colleagues on the Marks Processing Project and across the university to identify and deliver training to support the Marks Processing Project and the implementation of standard operating procedures. This will require working with stakeholders across the university to identify training needs, design, produce and deliver training materials, including producing training videos and in-person training sessions. The role holder will be a key member of the Marks Processing Project team, designing and delivering a programme of training to support improvements in the speed and accuracy of processing students assessment marks, and adoption of standard operating procedures to ensure consistency. Key Duties
- Provide professional advice and guidance to the Marks Processing Project identifying training needs across the institution, producing and delivering training on assessment processes and procedures to internal customers that will have institute wide impacts, using judgement and creativity to suggest the most appropriate course of action where appropriate, and ensuring complex and conceptual issues are understood.
- Design and deliver a training plan to support the Marks Processing Project that supports its aims to improve the speed and accuracy of processing students assessment marks, promoting consistency through standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Business Change, Communications, IT etc to deliver a programme of high quality training that will support the embedding of new ways of working and standard operating procedures across the institution that can be sustained beyond the life of the project.
- Take responsibility for resolving training issues independently within the Marks Processing Project where they fall within set role objectives.
- Investigate and analysis specific issues within training and development, creating recommendation reports, supported by advances within training and/or the software used to manage student assessments.
- Ensure that the provision of high quality training is delivered to the institution, proactively changing the delivery according to customer requirements.
- Establish working relationships with key contacts, developing appropriate communication links with the University's Schools/Directorates and outside bodies as required.
- Create specific working groups from colleagues across the University to achieve project and departmental objectives.
- Plan and deliver specific small scale projects, co-ordinating and supervising project teams created as needed.
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the department.
- Instruct and guide other employees across the University within area of expertise. General Duties

There are usually certain skills, qualifications, or experiences that any employee should have before they can be considered for a role. Some of these will be essential and you would not be able to perform the role without them, but some are desirable., 1. Degree/NVQ 4 or equivalent Professional membership/experience. 2. Substantial experience of working within specialist discipline, planning, designing, and delivering training. 3. Able to demonstrate professional knowledge of training and development to give advice and guidance to internal and external customers. 4. Proven experience in developing new processes and procedures. 5. Ability to communicate conceptually detailed and complex information effectively and professionally with a wide range of people. 6. Evidence of ability to explore customers' needs and adapt the service accordingly to ensure a quality service is delivered. 7. Proven ability to develop networks in order to contribute to long term developments. 8. Evidence of ability to solve expansive problems using initiative and creativity; identify and propose both practical and innovative solutions. 9. Evidence of demonstrable knowledge of key advances within training and development. 10. Evidence of ability to undertake and deliver specific projects and supervise short term project teams., 1. Postgraduate/Professional qualification. 2. Experience of working in a Higher Education and/or assessment environment. 3. Fluency in Welsh, written and oral.
