Our Investment Accounting Group provides accounting and regulatory data services to insurance clients. Our accounting services include the reconciliation, tracking, accounting for assets, along with preparation and oversight of monthly packages and regulatory schedules.
The Role:
This role is responsible for establishing and operating a training curriculum for our global investment accounting team on our new, internally developed accounting software. The role specifically supports both existing team member training on our new software as well as training new hires across all of our operational functions including accounting, reconciliation, data management, implementations, and client service. This role supports many opportunities for continued professional development with a career path within the group, or into other operating teams or client-facing business areas across BlackRock. Our suite of services provided to our clients offers opportunities for further personal learning, both in terms of the product types and accounting complexities, as well as the ongoing development of technical strengths.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a detailed knowledge of BlackRock's capabilities, products and services supporting our clients.
- Keep abreast of and address the implications of the evolving regulatory landscape and new accounting pronouncements on our training program.
- Develop a training program which supports operations on our new, BlackRock-developed accounting software and champion the success of the program across the global team.
- Work across teams to source training expertise to establish strong training modules, published for broader team use.
- Represent the team on internal cross-functional training events and working groups in support of delivering key training objectives.
- Develop relationships with the internal BlackRock teams who are developing accounting software to ensure that we are developing and evolving our training program to support change
- Provide feedback and improvement ideas to enhance the training experience on this new accounting software. Leveraging technology to support efficient and effective training, and identify areas of training need and bridge gaps as they arise.
- Assist and/or manage special projects as required.

Minimum 5 years of proven experience in developing and implementing training curriculums.
- Experience with Accounting, Investment firms, and/or software deployment a strong positive.
- Continuous operational improvement and team development mentality.
