We're thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a renewable energy leader in Edinburgh city centre. This hybrid role is perfect for a tech-savvy professional skilled in Office 365, Microsoft Windows OS, Active Directory, and desktop/printer support. Azure experience is a bonus!

Role Overview:
You'll provide 1st and 2nd line support, manage and deploy laptop and desktop systems, and maintain IT infrastructure. This role offers excellent career growth opportunities within IT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Microsoft 365 and Windows OS.
  • Provide infrastructure support (on-premise and cloud).
  • Oversee server, desktop systems, and VPN/remote access.
  • Solutions-driven with excellent customer-facing skills
  • Infrastructure support, on-premise and cloud.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills:

  • Microsoft 365
  • Networking protocols, and TCP/IP fundamentals
  • Windows Server, Windows 11
  • Active Directory & MS Exchange
  • knowledge of IT products, (Windows Server, Core Infrastructure Server Hardware)
  • IT Security solutions (Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Encryption, MFA Technologies).
  • Automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Understanding of server and desktop systems
  • Infrastructure support, on-premise and cloud.
  • VPN/Remote Access Support
